As you may have noticed, blogging has been sparse recently. That was mainly because I was working as a Special Adviser which, in addition to very long hours, also meant that as part of the government, though not under a duty to be impartial, I did have to be a little careful what I said.

With the election occurring, I’ve now taken up a new role outside government which should be ‘normal professional’ rather than ‘routinely working 12 hour days’ level of business so normal service should resume next week.
